The Innovation
In 2025, JS Tooling was officially granted patents for its Skyhook "L" Single-Head Welding Positioner and Skyhook "U" Dual-Head Welding Positioner.
The Challenge
Originally developed in 2003 and continuously refined over more than two decades, the Skyhook Welding Positioner combines advanced engineering, operator safety, and ergonomic accessibility in a versatile solution for assembly, tack welding, and welding operations. With more than 150 systems successfully operating in the Brazilian market for over 20 years, the equipment has demonstrated exceptional reliability, compatibility with a wide variety of workpieces, and outstanding operator ergonomics.
Our Engineering Approach
Our equipment incorporates adjustable welding positions, operator height adjustment, inductive proximity sensors that verify secure workpiece clamping before rotation, and safety laser scanners for work area protection. All systems are controlled through a PLC and HMI, with electrical controls designed in accordance with OSHA, ANSI B11, and NFPA 70E safety standards, delivering safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
